ARTICLE I - Name, Objectives, Headquarters

SECTION 1. Name

The name of the Association shall be "ASSOCIATION OF STRUCTURAL ENGINEERS OF THE PHILIPPINES, INC." hereinafter referred as the "Association".

SECTION 2. Objectives

The Objectives of the Association are as provided in the Articles of Incorporation and shall not be changed except in accordance with all applicable Philippine laws and regulations. The Objectives of the Association are the protection of public welfare of its constituents, through:

1. maintenance of high ethical and professional standards in the practice of structural engineering;
   
   
2. advancement of structural engineering knowledge; and
   
   
3. promotion of good public and private clientele relationships, fellowship among structural engineers, and professional relations with other allied technical and scientific organizations.

SECTION 3. Headquarters

The Association shall have its headquarters in Metropolitan Manila. The Association may have such other offices as the Board of Directors may designate.
